DA in Ekurhuleni calls on residents to register to vote for a better future

Registrations will take place on 10 and 11 March.

Voter registration is important in ensuring that voters are verified by the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) according to their correct residential addresses.  Failure to register will prevent voters from exercising their democratic right and having a say in the General elections in 2019.

Every vote counts and it could be the difference between a new service delivery orientated government with citizens’ needs at heart.

“Now is the time to make your voices heard and register to vote for change and a better future. So go out and ensure that you are registered correctly,” DA youth deputy chairperson in campaigns and recruitment, Khathutshelo Rasilingwane said.

The following voting stations are available in and around Nigel:

* Nigel High School – York Street;

* Roman Catholic Church – Ramsay Street;

* Nigel Library – Hendrik Verwoerd Street;

* MacKenzieville Community Hall – Ahzed Drive;

* Alrapark Community Hall – Gazelle Drive; and

* Nigel Auction Hall on Balfour Road.
